About

Semi-retired career and contract troop. I own and maintain my own small ranch out here in beautiful rural America.

The whole point of this blog is to provide those that live in small rural communities the tools and knowledge to weather what many are calling an unstoppable collapse of society as we know it.  If it doesn’t happen (and we hope it doesn’t) then great.  But if it does hopefully something you’ll read here will help in some small way.

Questions, comments, whatever can be sent to hsci@hughes.net.

I take for the info in your blog that you are in the Austin Texas area.
Do you conduct any training in the area ? I live 35 miles from the Austin metroplex.

Summer’s a busy time around here – especially with the drought we’re facing. The posting frequency should pick back up in a few days or so.

I live in SW Oklahoma, and have just moved to a 5 acre place with its own water. Very much interested in your process for selling you cattle. I would like any information you have on folks that are in the same process in this area. AC 73526

Love your articles. Lots of food for thought. Even if I can’t implement all of it, it gets you thinking along the correct lines to do what you can with what you’ve got.
